Our Honey
Deep in the Guatemalan rainforests, our rare Melipona honey is sustainably sourced by indigenous Maya beekeepers using centuries-old traditions. Harvested with care to protect both the bees and their environment, this "liquid gold" is pure, organic, and rich in medicinal properties. Discover the full story of how ancient wisdom and nature come together in every drop.
Melipona Honey Uses
Melipona honeys natural humectant properties help retain moisture, which can be soothing for dry or irritated eyes. This is particularly helpful in dry environments or for those suffering from chronic dry eye.
Melipona honey contains natural antibacterial and antifungal compounds, such as hydrogen peroxide, flavonoids, and phenolic acids. These help combat eye infections like conjunctivitis (pink eye) and blepharitis by inhibiting bacterial growth.
The high levels of antioxidants, especially flavonoids and polyphenols, help reduce inflammation in the eyes. This can alleviate irritation, redness, and swelling caused by conditions like dry eye syndrome or minor eye injuries.

Anti-Inflammatory Properties
Melipona honey contains antimicrobial peptides and enzymes like glucose oxidase, which produces hydrogen peroxide. These help prevent infection and promote wound healing, indirectly reducing inflammation.
Melipona includes various organic acids, vitamins, and minerals that contribute to its healing and anti-inflammatory effects.
Melipona has a high concentration of Polyphenols and Flavonoids. These are powerful antioxidants that help reduce oxidative stress in the body, which in turn lowers inflammation. Polyphenols like quercetin and gallic acid are known for their anti-inflammatory effects.
Melipona's low PH and high acidity helps inhibit the growth of harmful bacteria, reducing infection-related inflammation.
