La miel de Melipona ha sido considerada una sustancia sagrada entre los pueblos mayas de América Central. Durante generaciones, se ha aplicado tradicionalmente en los ojos por sus propiedades naturales.
1. Lavar bien las manos. Siempre comienza con las manos limpias para evitar introducir contaminantes en los ojos.
2. Recostarse o inclinar la cabeza hacia atrás. Busca una posición tranquila y cómoda con la cabeza inclinada hacia atrás o acostada completamente.
3. Aplicar 1–2 gotas en cada ojo. Usando un gotero limpio, coloca de 1 a 2 gotas de miel de Melipona en cada ojo. Esto suele hacerse por la noche.
4. Cerrar los ojos suavemente. Después de la aplicación, cierra los ojos con suavidad para permitir que la miel se extienda sobre la superficie ocular.
