Our Honey
At Mel Honey, every jar tells a story of heritage, land, and care. Our honeys are sourced from around the world, each one unique and deeply tied to the communities that produce them. From the pristine landscapes of New Zealand, where Manuka honey is prized for its rare MGO compound, to the United States, where wildflower honey reflects the richness of local blooms, to the rare Melipona stingless bee honey of Mexico and Guatemala, treasured for its cultural and medicinal traditions—we bring together the best of the hive.
We work directly with small-scale, sustainable producers in economically underserved rural areas, ensuring fair wages, preserving indigenous practices, and protecting fragile ecosystems. With Mel Honey, you don’t just enjoy pure, premium honey—you share in a global movement to honor bees, communities, and the traditions that keep them alive.

Benefits of Honey
Melipona honey contains antimicrobial peptides and enzymes like glucose oxidase, which produces hydrogen peroxide. These help prevent infection and promote wound healing, indirectly reducing inflammation.
Melipona includes various organic acids, vitamins, and minerals that contribute to its healing and anti-inflammatory effects.
Melipona has a high concentration of Polyphenols and Flavonoids. These are powerful antioxidants that help reduce oxidative stress in the body, which in turn lowers inflammation. Polyphenols like quercetin and gallic acid are known for their anti-inflammatory effects.
Melipona's low PH and high acidity helps inhibit the growth of harmful bacteria, reducing infection-related inflammation.
